Hey Guys, qualifier #2 for dekiTV tournament will be held this Wednesday at 19.30 CET. You can sign up and find more information at www.dekiTV.com .

The concept of buy-in tournaments

You've surely heard about the concept of buy-in tournaments (eg. uyR tournament with a buy-in of €12 each team) where the winner takes it all right? I've participated in these tournaments myself a lot in the past and must say I have allways enjoyed them.

Lately I've been thinking about how this concept could be used to benefit both established teams and upcoming players and have been trying to work something out for the community.

The format

The concept is very simple and similar to existing cashtournaments, though with a slower build-up of buy-ins which allows for bigger cashprizes.

Every dekiTV tournament consists of four qualifiers and a final tournament (The Finals) for which the cashprizes are applicable.
If you have a team or a strong mix of players and want to be able to qualify for the finals then your goal is to end top four in one of the qualifiers, which is equivalent to winning Round of 16 and the Quarter-Finals.

Every qualifier is played on Wednesdays at 19:00 in a BO1 format except the Grand-Final which is Best-Of-Three, winning the Semi-Final and Grand-Final of a qualifier is required for the seedings of the Finals, which are announced and played shortly after the top sixteen teams are known.

For the sake of illustration:

Qualifier #1 - TOP4 advance to the finals
Qualifier #2 - TOP4 advance to the finals
Qualifier #3 - TOP4 advance to the finals
Qualifier #4 - TOP4 advance to the finals
The Finals - TOP16 battle it out for the cashprizes

Anticheat protection & Tournament servers

Every tournament where buy-ins are involved should have features that make it worth paying for, for this reason we have bought the EasyAntiCheat license to protect our tournament against cheaters and giving participants a peace of mind.

Additionally, we have rented eight CSGO servers located in Germany, The Netherlands and France to stimulate teams all over Europe to participate in the tournament, this means that every match-up is required to be played on the dekiTV tournament servers which are all protected by EasyAntiCheat.

Teams and players do not have to hassle about server-picking nor to they have to add eachother on Steam as a co-admin will communicate with the teams and send them to the servers as well as giving them instructions when needed.

After all, time is of the essence for a tournament being ran on a weekday, people have jobs and have to go to school so they don't want to be having delays on weekdays.

Prizemoney

The first tournament will feature a prizepool of €1750, divided as shown below:

1st. €1000
2nd. €500
3d. €250

Shoutcasting and VOD highlights

All qualifiers and tournaments will be casted by myself (www.twitch.tv/dekitv), after every qualifier we will gather the craziest plays and moments and upload them on youtube and twitch.

Tournament website information

You think you got a team or mix that got what it takes to end top four in one of the Qualifiers? Then head over to www.dekitv.com for all information needed to get your team signed up for this tournament.

Community Feedback

Community feedback is what matters the most, after all it's you guys that know what you want to be playing or viewing so don't hold back guys, your honest feedback is what ultimately gets us to improve our tournament in the future.

Kind Regards
